This year we choose to have our National Apology Day BBQ at the Yamaji Art Centre and we shared our event with other local Aboriginal Organization, Bundiyarra.

Apology Day commemorates the historic apology to the Stolen Generations of Australia by the Federal Government in Parliament on 13 February 2008.

The event was a well attended by community members, from all age groups.

The audience took part in the event by assisting in a group painting, sharing their personal story, and through the release of white balloons to help symbolize the pain that they hold and the action of letting it go.
