Yamaji Art take great pride in developing the skills and knowledge of the next generation through our community engagement opportunities and workshops.
During the first week of July 2020 two of our weaving artists, Sheryl Green & Andrea Green-Ugle, facilitated a Weaving Workshop with the Geraldton Girls Academy. This workshop saw 9 participants learn traditional basket weaving techniques and create their very own baskets to take home.
We hope to see some of these young women continue to practise these new skills into the future.
