Last week was a whirl wind of activity for Yamaji Art.
Attending the annual Revealed Professional Development, Emerging Artist Exhibition, Market day and the Aboriginal Cultural Centre consultations was certainly a week to remember. As well an attending the Annual General Meeting for our peak agency Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia
Starting off with staff providing valuable input in to the design and development of the proposed Statewide Aboriginal Cultural Centre to be located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar.
Followed by 3 days of workshops and training with other Managers and Staff from almost 40 Art centres across WA and an exhibition opening highlighting over 50 up and coming Aboriginal Artist.
The week then finished off with a busy and vibrant market day where all participating Aboriginal Art Centres showcased their artworks and art products.
We would like to thank the Fremantle Arts Centre and Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia for once again providing us with the opportunity to train, celebrate and promote our Artists and staff!
